Barbs
I was always a hot wheels kinda guy.
Thankfuly so were both my sisters.
Happy meals were fruitful for all the Rus children.
Barbies have an aura about them, and I guess it's just one I never understood.
Granted I am a male, but hey, my sisters liked hot wheels.

Womantic violence.
In short,
My only thoughts are unfortunatly ones that can't be heavily supported.
There will always be the one person that isn't "fixed", and there will always be the one person that, even though the times have changed, lives in the past.
When it comes to violence against women, I think that it has certainly become "unacceptable". Yes, it still happens, and I don't believe it will ever really stop. The same goes with racism, and probably violence.
Speaking in GENERAL terms, the situation is much better than it used to be. I think once the problem becomes a constant and widespread epidemic, it will show things haven't changed.
My only thoughts are unfortunatly ones that can't be heavily supported.

SCANDAL!!!!
So I was hittin up my peeps wit da text right?
All I said was AY yo waddup.
She said who dis?
I was like, it's Will.
She was like, I dont know a Will.
Then I said, aight, wrong numba my baaad.
Turns out, her husband thought that was sensual harrasment, and he hit up the po po.
That's right... the po po. Po po lice lice.
Den I was jus like, AY YO! My bad chiiilll chiiilll it was a mistake
He wasn't havin it.
He said he was gonna hold the texts and keep dem as proof. Evidence. Contraband.
Then I got a call from mista dispatch sayin he be on his way.
Now all I gotta do is wait.

Beef or Pork, Who Cares?
Yestermonth, as I sat quietly at the table and stared at my empty plate, I wondered Beef or Pork. I set out on a mission to figure out which was the true meat of meats. After countless interviews with laypeople and nobles i discovered that Beef is preferred amoungst the serfs where the pork is more admired by the arisrocracy. The pages chose coconuts. Who knew? Not I. Who cares...me, that's who.
Tonight as i ponder my next meal I will always remember the turbulent times i battled through on my mission to mars. This is my thesis. In conclusion America has and always will be the greatest country in the world and possibly universe.

What do you do?
The more I talk to people, the more i realize that there are tons of activities people are participating in that others have no idea about. I'm refering to "outside of school" sports, music, clubs, etc. Every once in a while i'll get a response from someone saying they're secretly a ballet dancer in Russia or something crazy like that.

Ultimate Frisbee
It's almost that time of year again.
That's right. Ultimate time.
There are going to be a lot of changes this year due to our former coach Horton's departure, but rest assured there will be a team this year.
I really want to urge as many people as possible to play, the team is going to need capable throwers and runners.
Look forward to announcements about a team meeting coming up in the next week.

Journalism: What's it worth?
The perdicament brought up by Jacob Weisberg arises the idea that news/journalism is wasted by being free.
The internet allows information to be read by anyone at no cost, and many editors believe this is a huge mistake. "A successful digital business model demands revenue from users as well as from advertisers."
Looking into the past, the most profitable orginazations were local news works controlled by families, that were the dominant source of information and thus yielded a high income.
My biggest thought on this is that what has been made common, (free knowledge) will be hard to change. What will the rammifications of suddenly charging for CNN.com, or the weather application on your computer or iPod? Will companies make ANY money from doing this?
I assume that such a drastic change won't simply happen any time in the near or even distant future, but i believe it raises a valuable point about getting something from nothing, that can be considered in many subjects besides journalism.

Champions of NYC
This past weekend the Eastman Youth Jazz Orchestra (EYJO) took part in the first annual Mingus Summit competition. A group of selected finalists from all over the east coast competed, all playing music composed by an influential jazz composer named Charles Mingus. The EYJO, a 21 piece jazz orchestra, left Rochester Saturday February 21st, and returned home on Monday the 23rd as 1st place winners.
The competition took place at the Manhattan School of Music. Great edudacators and world class/professional musicians gave comments, and put on amazing performances.
I, Will Rus, play 1st alto sax in the group. I have to say the most memorable part of the trip was either hearing the world renown Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra play, or witnessing a sax player in another band go on a rampage on stage, spinning and jumping while playing a sub-par solo (my opinion obviously) in front of college proffesors.
The EYJO plays shows all over Rochester, especially in the upcoming months around the Rochester International Jazz Festival.
